Rhyton Intelligent EHS

Detects and Reports unsafe conditions

Overview

Rhyton Intelligent EHS provides tailored solutions for oil and gas workplace where security and surveillance are critical.

This software is a compound AI-based computer vision system to detect and report unsafe conditions by analyzing camera streams and trigger alarms to prevent near misses.

This system notifies managers by sending notifications, short messages, recurring reports, and a facility to use our APIs to connect to your IT infrastructure.

There are several types of reports in the system, to have a better look at what is happening in construction including anomaly reports, near miss analyses, and violation reports.

Challenges

According to Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE), each day, 12 to 13 U.S. workers die as a result of a traumatic injury on the job. As reported by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the most common fatalities are caused by the fatal four: falls, being struck by an object, electrocutions, and being caught in between two objects. These “Fatal Four” were responsible for more than half (59.9%) the construction worker deaths in 2017.

One major issue for companies is the balance between safety and spending. In theory, every oil and gas company wants to be 100% safe. But the price of excellent safety could be extremely costly.

Everyone can make errors no matter how well-trained and qualified they are. However, in the workplace, the consequences of such human failure can be exceptionally severe.

Solutions

Rhyton Intelligent EHS provides tailored solutions for oil and gas workplace where security and surveillance are critical.

We focus on major unsafe conditions in construction sites including:

  • Unsafe conditions of working at height

According to OSHA, falls are the leading cause of death in construction. Of the 991 construction worker deaths recorded in 2016, 370 resulted from falls to a lower level. Rhyton Intelligent EHS performs two controls in order to avoid falling incidents: First through personnel’s protective equipment such as helmets and so on. Second, by checking scaffolding’s standards to make sure it meets the standard requirements.

  • Unsafe electrical installations

When it comes to electrical hazards, prevention depends on safe equipment, safe environment, and safe work practices. Our software helps to reduce the risks regarding electrical safety by constantly monitoring workers to make sure protective helmets and gloves are worn at all times. Also, the software monitors the personnel’s access to electrical installations to make sure qualified staff with official clearance has access to this area.

  • Unsafe lifting operationsInjuries from lifting and handling of loads can occur in many occupations. Our system ensures safety for all persons by preventing unauthorized entrance to lifting area and makes sure everyone on the site has the necessary equipment.
  • Unsafe traffic conditionsAccording to HSE statistics, on average each year, about 7 workers die as a result of accidents involving vehicles or mobile plant on construction sites. A further 93 are seriously injured. Rhyton Intelligent EHS controls traffic speed to ensure safety for everyone in the site.
  • Unsafe night shift conditionsVisibility challenges are a primary safety concern of nighttime work. Some operations such as heavy lifting are prohibited during the night shift. Our system minimizes the risks by constantly monitoring the operations and security in worksites during the night shift.
  • Unsafe excavation conditionsTo minimize the danger regarding excavation, our system ensures there is a safe distance between the working equipment and excavation area. Also, the system makes sure that the personnel use the safe access way to the excavation area and personal protective equipment is being monitored at all times.
